Een individuele performance over vertrouwen tussen twee vreemden.
De focus in deze ontmoeting ligt volledig bij de bezoeker.
Archeologen hebben het vertrouwen te vinden wat gezocht wordt.
Ze laten zich leiden door de sporen uit een ver verleden.
In deze performance word je meegenomen in een eigen zoektocht - gericht op het eigen verleden - in het hier en nu.
De bezoeker wordt bij de hand genomen en naar het postkantoor geleid. Een moment van alleen-zijn in verbinding met een overleden geliefde.
Une expérience personnelle de confiance entre deux inconnus.
Dans cette rencontre, le focus est uniquement du côté du visiteur.
Les archéologues ont confiance de trouver ce qu'ils cherchent. Ils se laissent quider par les traces d'un passé lointain.
Dans cette expérience, le visiteur est invité à une recherche personnelle - ciblant son propre passé - dans l'ici et maintenant.
Le visiteur est pris par la main et guidé vers Bureau de poste. Un moment d'être seul en reliance avec le défunt tant aimé.

During this performance we take you on your own search – into your own past – here and now.
We take you by the hand and guide you to the post office where you can a have a moment by yourself, feeling connected with a loved one that passed away.

Klein verdriet
Performance
Een tussenruimte waar de tijd door jou - voor even - wordt stilgelegd.
Alleen daar en dan komt klein of groot verdriet naar buiten.
Jouw verlies schrijft een eigen muziekpartituur die door iedereen gehoord wordt.
Niemand kent je verhaal, de koekoeksklok tikt de tijd weg.
Un espace intermédiaire dans lequel, un court moment, pour toi, le temps s'arrête.
Et là seulement, pourra s'exprimer un petit ou un grand chagrin.
Ta perte écrit sa propre partition musicale, écoutée par tout le monde.
Personne ne connaît ton histoire et le tic-tac du coucou fait passer cet instant.

Tasje troost
Installatie
1 en 2 november zijn traditionele dagen van rouw en herdenking.
Als museum van het dagelijkse leven, waar rituelen en tradities centraal staan, is het huis van Alijn in deze periode van rouwen gastlocatie voor "Tasje Troost".
"Tasje troost" is een installatie over rouwen en troost in samenwerking met het Huis van Alijn.
Les 1er et 2 novembre sont traditionnellement des jours de deuil et de commémoration.
En sa qualité de musée de la vie quotidienne, au coeur duquel se retrouvent rituels et traditions, la Maison d'Alijn (à Gand) est, en cette période, l'endroit rêvé pour la petite tasse de consolation.
"Tasje troost" est un lieu pour faire son deuil et se souvenir, en collaboration avec Postkantoor 00/00/00.

De Fluisterzetel - project van Barbara Raes (Beyond the Spoken) in samenwerking met Reveil vzw en Het Postkantoor vzw
In december opent het Sint-Janshospitaal met een gloednieuwe collectiepresentatie rond universele thema’s als beleving, gastvrijheid en genezing. Speciaal voor het museum creëert kunstenaar en ritueelbegeleider Barbara Raes een Fluisterzetel: een zachte plek gemaakt van kledingstukken van en verhalen over overleden geliefden.
Het Postkantoor vzw werd gevraagd om in gesprek te gaan met nabestaanden over hun overleden geliefde naar aanleiding van een meegebracht kledingstuk van de overledene.
L'hôpital St Jan présente en décembre une collection toute neuve autour de thèmes universels tel expérience, accueil et guérison.
A l'intention du musée, l'artiste et accompagnatrice de rituel, Barbara Raes, crée un Fauteuil de chuchotis : un coin de douceur composé des vêtements et d'histoires de défunts aimés.

In December, the Saint John’s hospital will present a brand-new collection dedicated to universal topics such as hospitality and healing. The artist-ritualist Barbara Raes will create a Chair of Whispers: a soft chair made from the clothes of and stories about loved ones that passed away.
Het Postkantoor vzw will use the clothes as a starting point to engage with the bereaved about their loved ones.
